Netflix has released the movie major on 3rd of June and it is winning a lot of hearts. The movie is based on the life of late. Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who was killed in a terrorist attack in 2008 at the Taj Palace Hotel in Mumbai. The real incident were really heart whelming and proud moment to Indians. The movie portraits the life of the most courageous soldier major Sandeep Unnikrishnan.
The story goes with a narration given by Prakash raj who played as Sandeep’s dad. It all starts from the little sandeep who always wnted to be a soldiers. He was a family boy. In middle school he meets the love of his life. Then after schooling he is joining the army. His family hesitated it first becouse they thought he’s risking his life. But they realised that’s what he wants.
He was an efficient, punctual, and hardworking soldier. Within a short time he became the major.Then he married the girl he love. After marriage they had some issues going on and she filed divorce but he hesitated. In 2008 the Indian soldiers were in the Taj Hotel saving people’s life. Major Sandeep was fearless and at the end he went to a plot alone not listening to his officers to save 2 peolpe. One commander asked him “how many soldiers should I lose to save just two people” then sandeep said “one”. He was so lovable and he cared every human and wanted save lives and he did.
The movie is going through a lot of emotions and it’s really touching. The director Sasi Kiran Tikka gives a tribute to the soldiers who sacrifised their life to save ours through the story of the real hero Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. The role was played by Adivi Sesh.
